I am a kind and passionate Registered Nurse/Midwife with a strong drive to support women and families in raising their young children.
I am committed to working in partnership with families so that they can thrive and enjoy the challenge of raising young children. I have worked with women and families for the last 5 years- predominantly in Campbelltown's Special Care Nursery, but also spending time working in the Maternity ward and Antenatal Clinic.
I am exceptionally passionate about breastfeeding and I feel that supporting women to meet their own unique feeding goals is a very valuable skill, and a privilege that I do not take for granted.
I am a kind and passionate person and I am easy to get along with, and I feel that this serves me well in the workplace as well as during my partnerships with women and families.
I am highly motivated to work within the Child and Family Health Nursing service, and I feel that I could make a true difference to families in our local community.
• Learned how to work in partnership with families through completing "working in partnership training".
• Managed my workload independently, including management of "clinic levels" and my MECSH clients.
• Supported families through the MECSH program. I have supported families with a range of vulnerabilities and through a variety of parenting challenges.
• Provided breastfeeding support to my MECSH clients, families visiting the Child and Family clinic, and families experiencing more significant breastfeeding difficulties in the breastfeeding support clinic.
• Grew and developed as an IBCLC, learning from incredibly experienced colleagues.
• Helped families to optimise their child's development through the learning to communicate program, as well as through ASQ assessments and activity planning.
• Attended to intake calling, determining appropriate service provision for families by undertaking detailed assessments of clients healthcare records, and an assessment phone call.
• Developed a strong passion for supporting families through the many hurdles of parenting through empowerment, education, and working in partnership
