Summary

With over 20 years of experience at the Australian Border Force, I have successfully undertaken diverse and challenging roles. Throughout my tenure, I have built strong professional relationships with external agencies such as the Department of Fisheries, Australian Federal Police, Attorney Generals Department, and Western Australian Police, collaborating on numerous joint agency operations. Effective stakeholder liaison has been crucial in accessing valuable information for Border Force and providing essential services and information to our professional partners. In January 2021 I made the decision to return to full-time study to pursue my desired career path as an Anaesthetic Technician. Although initially hindered by the impact of Covid 19, I in the interim successfully completed my Certificate IV in Hospital and Health Services Pharmacy Support. I commenced my Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology and Practice at North Metropolitan TAFE in July 2021 and I graduated in December 2023. My passion for Anaesthetic Technology was solidified during a work placement at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in June 2022, where I thrived and confirmed my commitment to success as a Technician. As a professional in the medical field, I bring a meticulous approach to anesthesia support and patient care. My expertise in effective equipment preparation and maintenance has contributed to seamless surgical operations. I display excellent teamwork and adaptability in dynamic environments, I prioritise patient safety and ensure efficient procedural flow. I possess experience in anaesthesia support, encompassing equipment preparation and patient monitoring. Leveraging knowledge of sterile techniques, I support the effectiveness of surgical teams. With a proven track record of prioritising patient safety and optimising procedural efficiency in fast-paced medical settings, I consistently deliver high-quality care. As a qualified Anaesthesia Technician, I have received comprehensive training in anaesthesia processes, equipment usage, and safety standards. I diligently track patients' responses, I promptly intervene to manage symptoms when necessary. Confidently handle routine procedures and emergency situations, I am well-equipped to provide professional care.
