I am a 49 year old mother of 2 amazing but challenging children, one being on the spectrum. After having my fourth child in 2016 our miracle rainbow baby I decided when the time came to return to work I would love to go back to working in the community services sector.
Apart from my formal training I think the biggest asset I could bring to any organization are my life skills.
Having previously worked in the community services sector as a HACC
co-ordinator as well as liaison officer doing assessments and case management, in community transport and disability services where i was involved in implementation of services and programs for the disabled and elderly. I was responsible for documenting and reporting to government agencies and case notes as well as reporting to committees. I have been involved in the processes of funding and submissions for government and community grants and was successful for the introduction of the seniors computer program to the Tenterfield area. I was also involved in the original submissions in the beginning of the Tenterfield mens shed.
After the death of my eldest son I felt i had nothing to give and commenced work at coles in management, I resigned from Coles after the of birth and death of my second eldest child in 2017.
in mid 2017 I began work as a housemaid before finally returning to aged care with Tenterfield Care Centre, doing residential care in 2021.
