Supporting Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy services for children, teens and young adults with disabilities.

• Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists to implement therapy plans targeting functional goals across daily living, emotional regulation and social participation.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions; monitor progress and adapt activities to support client development and engagement.
• Create tailored therapy resources and visual supports to aid in capacity building and skill development across a range of age groups and abilities.
• Lead group therapy programs, such as LEGO® Therapy, Diabetes Lifestyle Group and Babes Beyond Barriers, addressing key developmental, health and psychosocial challenges.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships with clients and families, supporting consistent participation and engagement in therapy.
• Maintain a weekly and fortnightly caseload, completing high-quality progress notes and reporting.
• Support administrative functions including scheduling, email and phone correspondence and resource management.
• Ensure a safe, clean and well-organised therapy environment, contributing to effective and client-centred care.

Providing person-centred support to participants with disabilities to enhance independence, well-being and community participation.

• Assist participants with daily living activities, promoting dignity, self-esteem and overall wellness.
• Support participants in achieving individual goals, including skill development, independence and social engagement.
• Transport participants to appointments, shopping and community outings according to personalised schedules.
• Foster strong rapport and trust through respectful, consistent, and compassionate support.
• Monitor participants’ health and behaviour; administer medication and report any concerns to appropriate professionals.
• Maintain detailed records of participant progress, support strategies and outcomes to ensure continuity of care across providers.
