• Caring for large varieties of patients with varying acuity including cardiac, stroke, trauma, dementia, mental health, pre and post op and paediatric

• Served as a preceptor for nursing students during their clinical rotations, providing valuable real-world experience and guidance for professional growth

Rotation 1: East Wing (Medical-Surgical ward) at Blue Mountains Anzac Memorial Hospital (4months)

• Conducted thorough patient assessments to identify changes in condition, promptly notifying physicians and initiating appropriate interventions when necessary.
• Utilized critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions based on patients'' acuity levels and individual needs.
• Use of EMR for clinical documentation and medication administration
• Administered medications safely according to established guidelines while closely monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions requiring intervention.

Rotation 2: Community Health Chronic and Complex at Lawson Community Health Centre (4 months)

• Attending clients home for palliative care and wound dressings and working in wound and IDC/SPC clinics
• Working closely within a multidisciplinary team in a smaller unit
• Using clinical judgement to determine the right treatment for clients and showing initiative when working solo
• Demonstrating person centered care when communicating with vulnerable clients and family
• Effective communication and escalation to senior staff when issues arise on the road
• Advised patients and caregivers of proper wound management and disease management

• Customer service –interacting with and attending to customer needs, serving/handling food and alcohol, handling customer complaints
• Maintaining compliance with company policies – adhering to NSW Health COVID-19 public health order
• Cleaning duties
• Answering phone calls
