Fashion Design (conceptual)
I spend much of my free time designing and sketching garments. I absorb the world around me and my fascination and love for structural design and colour of vintage cars, 1950s-60s fashion (most notably in stylised film such as word by Edith Head) and Italian fashion both modern and vintage are all primary sources of inspiration for me.
Sewing
Alongside my personal design, I also love learning about and replicating historical sewing techniques, and enjoy sewing historical garments utilising historical techniques. I find the techniques developed for robust garments incredible, and believe the reintroduction of such techniques should be reintroduced into the fashion world for high quality garments with increased longevity without sacrificing style.
