My Career so far has me working as a Spa Therapist since 2016, and as a Hotel Receptionist since 2020. With extensive Spa Treatment experience, working in Bali and Turkey, supported by some of the best training at one of Indonesia's foremost International Hotel Spa Industry Training Schools and further training and work experience in Turkey. an Employer would find me a highly motivated, and dedicated professional Therapist seeking a challenging position at a company or Hotel servicing international and local tourists. My intention is to gain more experience in the Spa Industry, and with a readiness to learn as much as possible about his rewarding Industry.

Career Summary

I left School having completed Year Ten in Blora, Central Java and moved to Bali, in July - August 2013, to begin working in Milano Spa in Ubud Bali. Milano Spa provided my early training as a Spa Therapist. I learnt Customer Service, Traditional Balinese Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Foot Massage and Basic Reflexology, as well as Facial, Manicure and Pedicure Treatments.

In 2015 I began working at Alaya Resort, in Ubud, Bali. The Alaya Resort is an upmarket Spa Resort, in the village of Ubud, famous for its Wellness and Spiritual centres. The Alaya resort Caters primarily to the Tourist Market in Ubud. My experiences working there provided me with excellent Training and a warm and nurturing environment to work in.

In March 2016 I commenced studying for the Indonesian Certificate C, Higher School Leaving Certificate (Equivalent to Year 12 Higher School Leaving Certificate). I passed all subjects with good grades.

Around this time I also began improving my English language skills, engaging a Private Tutor to facilitate this. I continued this Extra English language study for around four months.

In December 2016, I applied, through an Agent in Bali, for a position working in Turkey.

This process took a number of months to complete and led to my enrollment in the Klungkung International School, with lessons in Spa Management and Spa and resort Treatments.

My studies included a range of mandatory tests, overseen and graded by the Indonesian Government, as well intensive Training as a Spa Therapist, building on my previous experience and training. The training also included subjects like running a Spa and Basic Spa Receptionist Duties.

In June 2017, I moved to Bodrum, Turkey and began employment working as a Spa Therapist in the Hotel Salmakis. While working at the Hotel Salmakis, my training continued and I am well skilled in many different kinds of Spa Therapies, including Hammam and Traditional Indian Hand Massage.

I worked in the Hotel Salmakis from June 2017, up to May 2019, when my contract with them expired.

In 2020 I worked in the Summer Season at The forever Club Hotel & Resort, Bodrum.

Following that contract I commenced working as a Spa Therapist in the Ambrosia Hotel, Bodrum. The Ambrosia hotel is a high end Hotel and resort, with the Spa Salon offering a range of Spa and beauty treatments including Turkish Bath.

From 2022 until this year, I worked as a Receptionist in the Casablanca Hotel Bodrum, running Front of House and Hotel Guest services.

In may this year, I commenced working as a Spa Therapist in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Bodrum, as a Spa Therapist and have continued working there up to the present.

I love dealing with new people, taking on new challenges and travelling when I’m able to.

I enjoy learning new languages and have been learning some Turkish language in my time working in Turkey.

My time working in the Casablanca Hotel introduced me to the extraordinary culinary traditions of Turkey allowing me to spend some time helping in the hotel kitchen.  I was also able to introduce Hotel staff and guests to Indonesian and Balinese cuisine.  I love trying new foods and national delicacies.

I enjoy working with people. I consider it a privilege to deal directly with clients and would love to continue working in the Spa Industry. I enjoy International travel and learning new languages and have wide and varied experiences are my passion.

I will continue to learn the Turkish language and more of the fascinating culture and history of this wonderful country, but equally I would have little difficulty settling into new places and learning new languages and the culture of new places.

I am excited to continue my professional development, expanding my skill set to work in the International Spa and Tourism Industry, working in International Hotels and Spa resorts.

I aspire, in time, to run my own business and to achieve this I recognise I must expand my knowledge and skills with more experiences and learning.

I am fluent in spoken and written Indonesian and Javanese languages, I also speak Sundanese and Balinese fluently, with excellent spoken English. My written English, as a second language, has improved remarkably since I my first formal English lessons nine years ago.
