When starting with Intentional Care I was the lead support worker for 3, level 3 ASD children, who are non verbal and from a non English speaking background.

My role included individualised support for all 3 children (ages 6,5 and 3). Taking them to all of their allied health appointments, assisting with personal care, dispensing their various medications and establishment of behaviour routines.

Until recently I was working in Maclean as a high intensity SW, with a 3 y/o boy with Down syndrome a tracheostomy and he is PEG fed. I worked active night shifts with him assisting in his nightly feeds (every 4 hours) completing his stoma, personal care and dispensary of his medications. This work has since ceased due to some major medical complications occurring and his family deciding to move interstate to be closer to his allied health team.
