LUCA-RAY KELLY

CHIRNSIDE PARK,VIC

Summary

Hi, I'm Luca-Ray Kelly. I am 18 years old.

I am a skilled cabinet maker working at MF Kitchens, with a good, strong work ethic. I want to come into work every day and get things done, and do the best work I can.

I believe I am highly trained in retail and customer service due to my time working at Coles, where I worked 20 to 30 hours a week as a second job doing multiple different departments. I know I can manage two jobs and long workweeks/days very well, and I am just dedicated to working hard for my future, and making a positive impact on the people around me at the same time!

  • I did start my journey in cabinet making at the beginning of 2023 with a company called The Kitchen Business, but sadly I didn't have the nicest boss. I was underpaid all year and didn't have a great time. I just wanted to share that with you instead of putting it down as experience because it really wasn't a good time for me.
  • Currently, though, as of January last year, I left my old work to find a new, better company, and now I'm working at MF Kitchens with a good crew and an amazing, respectful boss. I enjoy it a lot and really work my ass off, as I'm not an apprentice, but I am a full-time laborer, which my boss allowed me to do because I wasn't sure if I wanted to do cabinet making in the long run and still aren't 100%, but he loves my work ethic and ability to learn quickly, so he was more than happy to put me on full-time because i always make sure to put in 100% and make my self valuable to him.

I started off as a dairy team member at Coles at 15 years old, which I wasn't the biggest fan of, so I worked hard to prove to the produce manager I could be a good worker and deserve a spot on his team. A few weeks later, I got that role, and that was my main department. I was working as a casual, doing 20-30 hour weeks for three straight years, and I even kept going when I left school at the end of 2022 to work in the cabinet-making industry full time, which I still currently do. I loved working at Coles. I got trained in dairy, fresh produce, grocery night fill, online, and even did some shifts in deli and service. I'm more than open to giving anything a go and just want the opportunity to be able to work and pick up as many shifts as I can, as my dream is to buy a house by the time I am 21 years of age!

And I will also share with you that my reasoning for leaving Coles was to pursue an online job offer, but, unfortunately, that fell through. Then I tried to go back to Coles because i really wanted my job back and that second source of income, and unfortunately they no longer needed me.
