Born in Germany to a musical family, Luisiana moved to Australia before learning the violin at 3 and a half. Tutored by Suzuki pedagogue Haruo Gotto Luisiana was invited to perform solo before the governer of Queensland at the age of 9. Whilst receiving violin studies with the acclaimed string educator Elizabeth Morgan AM, she was a featured artist on ABC 2NR radio and appeared as soloist at the Sydney Opera House with the SSO Quartet and also performed soloist with orchestra at QPAC. Luisiana featured as soloist with her twin sister in the St George Bank television Commercial (1999) and at the Tropicana Festival and was given a music scholarship to attend Somerville House. Luisiana performed solo for the National String Teachers Convention QLD, followed by a performance at Parliament House as a "Young Music Achiever". Luisiana also received a music tuition bursary by the St George Foundation, a QLD Young Conservatorium music Scholarship and the Marjory Walters Music Scholarship. Directed by Loretta Fin, Luisiana performed with Somerville Strings and the Senior String Consort who won first place in the Premier Grade Strings at the Australian Academy Festival of Music and had the prestigious honour of being presented with the TOAN (The Orchestras Of Australia Network) award for Best National School Orchestra (2004). Luisiana has experience as a Violin Tutor and has held a role of Music Coordinator at North West Christian School in Tasmania for four and a half years. She has 10 years experience teaching the Kodaly and orff method and has completed both Kodaly Music level 1 & 2 from Queensland University and KIEMA and Orff certificate 1. Luisiana has started a school Choir and Chorale group, along with a classroom music program off the ground, performing at many community functions and concerts with great cultural success. Luisiana was chosen to be a tutor at the acclaimed Nova Muse festival, where she conducted one of the three orchestras leading them to a unforgettable final performance. Luisiana conducted the Coastal Strings of the String Alliance in NSW for their rehearsals and end of year concert in 2024. She performs regularly and has collaborated with various professional artists including Sue Collins, Patricia Pollet, Peter Morrison and Sarah Scheermeijer.
Successfully led students through performance assessments and AMEB grade One Theory exams.
Preparing a new Choir and Chorale group to performances in large music concerts and mission events throughout the year. Coordinating and teaching all classroom music education throughout the school from Prep-year 11. Facilitating all music excursions and incursions.
Team taught grades 3 and 6 respectively.
