As Glasshouse Employee:

i. Involvement in promoting plant health and well-being such as:

• Measuring and evaluating water quality parameters such as Electrical Conductivity and pH from drip and drain tanks to ensure the proper nutrients for healthy growing plants.
• Effectively monetizing the concentration and amount of ethylene for ripening of fruits for harvest.

ii. Involvement in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) implementation such as:

• Scouting of pests and diseases such as aphids, whiteflies, Russet Mites, Spider Mites, and thrips using yellow sticky traps to ensure early pest intervention.
• Assisting in applying natural predators like Encarsia formosa to control whiteflies and Phytoseiulus persimilis to control spider mites.

As Nursery Hands

• Potting of flowers in appropriate soil material.
• Shifting flowers to their designated places according to their physiological condition
• Spraying chemicals for plant protection
• Operating forklift for moving flowers.
• Training, pruning, and watering of the different flowers like Dahlia, Hydrangea, Cyclamen, Gerberas, poinsettias, etc.
