Accomplishments

In December 2018 I participated in a school trip to Cambodia for two weeks. Our group went over to complete tasks that would assist families with their living situations. Our group of seventeen students completed making two toilets for two families. We hand made the foundations for concrete rings which weren't used to make the tanks for the toilet waste. After completing our work for the day, we would go and play or hang out with the local children from the nearby villages. We also lived in the village where we had an opportunity to partake in the Cambodian culture and way of life.

In 2018 and 2019 I volunteered for Headspace in the Youth Reference Group. The group provides a support network for youth with mental health issues in the Wodonga/Albury area. The group requests from the youth in what they would like to see the community do for them and then the group does what they can. We arranged for the youth to participate in events such as roller skating, yoga and dancing. We spoke to local sports teams to participate in the Men's Campaign for mental health day by wearing green bands to show support for men with mental health.

Took part in monthly school meetings and fortnightly school curriculum meetings during 2018 and 2019. In these meetings I acted on behalf of the students and advocated for the student body at my previous school.
