I am seeking permanent opportunities in Defence after the completion of my graduate program and this opportunity with ERP BOC holds the promise a wide range of possibilities for a graduate to build business and operational acumen. I have a natural interest in identifying and solving business problems. While I understand the need to understand the technology, S/4 HANA, which we are deploying to run Defence's operations, I am of the view that we requires a business-centric approach to really extract the modernisation benefits to Defence.

Although new to Defence, I have started to gain acumen, theoretical and practical, of the key practice areas in Defence. I have done certification courses in ILS and IPS and I am keen to put these theories into practice. In my second rotation, I did my own self-study course of The DODAF architectural framework and have started the process of producing the relevant view-points for an acquisition project.

My approach as a graduate, has been to observe, learn and identify opportunities where I can add value and construct deliverables that my team can use.While at NSSS, through exposure to Risk Management activity, I identified that I could try and solve the problem at hand using Power BI. I helped our team cleanse some data sets and also produced visualisations that provided more insightful representation of risks.
