I Left Colombia with my family to live in Singapore due to my father's employment. I arrived in Australia in 1981. I completed my high school education in the Singapore American School. Prior to entering the Child Protection field, I was Director and owner of two large child care services, managing 25 staff.
These life, ethnic background, education and work experiences as business owner, teacher and counsellor have given me invaluable skills transferable to my current work with the Department, such as being able to be reflective, make considered decisions based on knowledge, compassion and empathy for those I work for, namely children and their families.

- Completed safety and wellbeing assessments for children reported to the Department to be/at risk of harm. Completed legal documentation required when taking intervention action. Participated in court proceeding as required in my role in the Child Safety Team.
- 2017 to 2023 - Case Manager Children in Care
- Responsible to ensure children in care have their needs met and have all opportunities to reach their full potential as individuals whilst in the care of the CEO.
- 2023 to Current - Case Manager Reunification Team
- Responsible to engage with families and their children to provide support and services that strengthen their trajectory towards reunification.
