Mason Spencer

This was a role which shaped my career into a whole different path and opened up opportunities I never thought would be available. During my time at this role, I had the opportunity to, and was successful at earning an uncapped salary based on performance and sales. I joined the company as a sales assistant, where through hard work and successful results I built my way up to becoming a sales consultant and leader, where I was able to continue earning an uncapped salary and being successful, whilst teaching new employees the skills and basics of the job to set them up for success. In my time at this role I learnt many skills including; communication, sales, body language skills and Tone of voice. This role also helped me to know that I am in control of my own success and helped me to take accountability, which has undoubtedly made me a happier, more skilled and intellectual person.

This job entailed communicating with managers from high performance car dealerships such as Range Rover, Jaguar and Lamborghini. To organise pick ups and delivery’s of brand new cars prior and post being detailed. This was a role where communication and attention to detail had to be immaculate, and a role where I undoubtedly got to understand more into cars, but particularly the financial side of car deals and trades, as well as taking responsibility of being in control of prized possessions.

• Completed on-time deliveries by choosing best and most efficient routes.
• Improved customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries of products.
• Worked scheduled hours as required and took on available shifts during holidays and busy periods.

• Company Overview: Simon Hallows Ltd are an online clothing site who sells thousands of items every month across the country.
• This job role involved me leading the packaging team at Simon Hallows Ltd, a clothes warehouse which has been successful for many years. I gained incredible experience from this, having to keep track of time effectively to ensure clothes were ready and packaged in time to be sent off to customers. I also became much more confident in addressing my voice in an assertive tone to a group of people ensuring my point was heard, this helped to increase my management and leadership skills incredibly and I will take everything I learnt from this experience into the future with me

• Company Overview: Kixx Coaching is a nation-wide Football coaching company who aim to progress young people in the game of football.
• This role involved coaching a variety of different age groups to develop their football abilities and knowledge. However, one of our key aims was to develop them as a person, remind them of how important it is to be a good person, and teach them mannerisms wherever possible. I feel that my experience working here has massively developed my ability to speak and to command attention when doing so, which I feel will be a key aspect within this placement when putting my point across to make myself heard and to achieve the best results possible. I feel I have massively developed the skill of how to act, and be a leader in a variety of different situations, and to be able to adapt and change my approach to a situation depending on the type off person I am dealing with

• Company Overview: They are a nation wide Garden Centre company, they are one of the most known garden essentials companies in the country.
• I was a sales assistant at Carr gate garden centre for a period of 7 months which has helped me massively with becoming a more confident person. This job involved helping customers when they needed a service and giving people advice and information. Throughout my role at Carr gate as a sales assistant, I learnt many key skills and responsibilities that come with having a job on a part time basis. During my time at this job, I was placed on many different departments around the store such as , tills, shop floor, restaurant and deliveries. I feel that experiencing different roles first hand has massively helped my ability to adapt to any situation and achieve the best results in whatever the situation may be. One key skill I feel I learnt is people skills, before this job I was quiet around new people and didn’t express myself much, however after this experience I have learnt many ways of dealing with different predicaments and situations in order to get the best results. For example, when somebody is frustrated or angry, I am now more confident and able to calm them down and resolve situations. This benefits me now in situations of meeting new people and will continue to help me in the future when getting a new job or starting at university.
