Under direct supervision of a registered nurse and within my scope of practise;

  • Delivered care whilst adhering to policies and protocols for patients requiring INR and warfarin titration, intravenous antibiotics, PICC line care, simple and complex wound care and drain care.
  • Observe subcutaneous chemotherapy and VAC dressings.
  • Administered medications whilst adhering to established protocols via oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections and intravenously and monitored closely for side effects and adverse reactions.
  • Utilised critical thinking skills to prioritise nursing interventions based on patients’ acuity levels and individual needs.
  • Managed care of 4 patients including all documentation.
  • Liaise with team managers and members of the multidisciplinary team.
