Accomplishments

I've taken on rowing for a number of years (2019 - 2022) during high school to improve on my teamwork, communication, physical fitness and overall lifestyle/well-being.

Rowing

During high school I've decided to take on rowing because of my friend who invited me to test out the waters with her. Ever since then, I've seen a huge shift in my personal life as I began to be more comfortable with pushing myself to be better, the power of self-talk and positive thinking, coordination and communication, and accepting failure.  In a sport like this, you have to be ready for anything on race day, including less-than-ideal weather, equipment problems, injuries, etc. Though you might be at the top of your game or highly placed among the competition, I believe it takes a certain level of maturity and competence to be able to accept failure. The most crucial thing is what you take away from that experience and how you handle the problem in future situations.
