Being a Registered Nurse is deeply rewarding, and I am passionate about supporting patients through every stage of their care. Through rotations in the Cardiovascular (Ward 41), and beginning on Neurosurgical (Ward 61), I have developed skills in post-operative care, pain management, wound care, and working effectively in fast paced, multidisciplinary environments. I am committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care, with a focus on comfort, dignity, and optimal recovery.

• Joondalup Health Campus - Emergency Department: Refined ability to maintain composure in a high-acuity environment and learnt to perform patient interviews and A_E assessments.
• Fiona Stanley Hospital - Coronary Care Unit: Developed an understanding of cardiac conditions and learnt to work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
• Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital - Gastrointestinal: Expanded upon existing clinical skills, specifically management of wound drains and stoma care, and prioritised patient-care effectively.

• Ward 61 (Neurosurgical) 2nd Rotation: Further developed time management skills whilst adapting to the demands of neurosurgical nursing in a high-acuity environment. Strengthened my ability to work within a team to deliver safe, patient centred care. Gained experience in post-operative pain management and the importance of early mobilisation. Enhanced ability to provide therapeutic support and comfort to patients and families.
• Ward 41 (Cardiovascular) 1st Rotation: Advanced my ability to delivery safe and evidence-based post-operative care for patients recovering from complex procedures. Developed skills in ECG interpretation, telemetry monitoring and complex wound management. Refined my ability to prioritise care and manage time effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Enhanced my capacity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, utilising effective communication to support optimal patient outcomes.
