Micaela Roy

I was employed in the capacity of classroom teacher where I taught Kindergarten children. Over the years I was employed at Balgowlah North Public School I participated in mandatory and optional professional development.

I implemented numerous teaching programs collaboratively and independently to assist students, staff and parents with all aspects of Education.

Worked in a variety of schools on the Northern Beaches as a Casual Teacher over a variety of school year levels for Kindergarten to year 6.

Collaboratively worked with Doctors and a Personal Trainer to cater for his physical disability and work on a personalised program.

Developed and successfully implemented an individual Education plan to cater for the specific learning needs of my student.

Travelled to China for a period of 6 weeks over the Christmas holidays where i continued to teach him.

Implemented strategies and learning programs to assist a wide range of people, babies to adults, to learn to swim.

Worked with the elderly to help get through their daily activities such as toileting, showering,clothing and feeding.

Developed relationships that promoted feelings of wellbeing, happiness and dignity in the aged care residents.

Collaboratively ran the kitchen with the Chef and other kitchen hand to achieve an efficient service of food to the residents which included distributing and collecting trays, washing dishes, setting up trolleys, cleaning and food preparation.
