- I was responsible for all sales and marketing activity in the Australasia region and was responsible for bid preparations and profitability on switch room and switchboard projects.
- Chosen by SA Water as a switchboard manufacture and supply partner.
- Winning tenders to supply switch rooms and switchgear for the first stage of GE fast power project in Indonesia.
- Winning of major tenders/projects with SANTOS and BHP.
- I maintained the scheduling of products for our local manufacturing facility and accurately forecast on our sales, profitability and reported to the board on our overall performance.
- Statutory compliance for the Australian/New Zealand region was also a significant requirement of my role.

- Company Overview: Daikin is Australia’s most trusted name and number one air conditioning supplier in the Oceania market.
- My responsibility initially was across SA/NT, where I was accountable for a sales budget of $50M and in charge of twenty-four staff.
- I implemented some key sales and marketing strategies and met key KPIs set by senior management.
- I developed excellent working relations with all internal departments to ensure our customers were satisfied with Daikin’s service delivery.
- My continued success led to my secondment to the temporary State Managers job for VIC/TAS, while continuing with my role in SA/NT.
- The VIC/TAS role came with a budget of $90M, and a staff of sixty.
- Furthermore, I was offered the opportunity to be on the recruitment team to find a successor for the VIC/TAS role.
- Once my VIC/TAS responsibilities were complete I was offered the same role in the NSW/ACT market. This came with a $100M budget and a staff of seventy-five.
- As well as managing SA/NT, I was also heavily involved in commercial product development, which resulted in the launch of several new commercial products.
- In summary, I managed to meet budget in several states and territories simultaneously and ran all sides of the business with a high degree of customer satisfaction and excellent profit margins.
- My key highlights include: Daikin becoming number one air conditioning company in Australia.
- Daikin Industries – Chief Operating Officer, Excellent Product Award.
- Daikin Industries – Global Managing Director, Outstanding Sales Performance Award.
