After the past 10 years working to establish run and produce the best work and earn good money I can. We have decided after the birth of our first child I it would be beneficial and a long term great plan to get into the mining sector , as a 40 year old father of 1 I now think about my families future more . Currently staff shortages in the base laborer area have made construction / small business difficult due to staff turnover.

As a family we have talked about moving and have agreed that once I find a suitable job we are happy as a family to relocate to WA to make good of the stable and family friendly mining economy and conditions . This also will allow me to be a better father I believe, now and in the future due to the fifo lifestyle of being onsite for hard work but then returning home for a mini holiday each swing for unbroken time with family . Gaining a position within the mining and resources sector would take away the current stress of unstable economy and the unknowns of the future as I believe and resource says it is our most stable area of the Australian Economy and will be for years to come , I believe with my machinery operator skills and ability to perform many tasks while committing to safety onsite I will be an asset to any company .Im keen to expand skills and always learning. I don't drink or smoke am fit and healthy .... Open to any and all positions , any length of time although my goal is to work on a site where, with my commitment shown to a employer a position with long term stability will be offered to myself.

My discussion with family is if a trial period is gained I will provide my own transport and arrangements to point of departure and our home in Victoria. If more suitable would fly them over once a month etc and find short term accommodation in WA until trial period is completed then we would be ready to move/relocate as a family at years end .
