• Conduct Leadership Walks and site audits to reinforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS and environmental standards.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and network clients (Telstra/NBN) to ensure technical and contractual requirements are met.
• Interpret and action construction drawings, site plans, and scopes of work, resolving on-site challenges in real-time.

Certified Protection Officer Level 2 with extensive experience providing rail safety protection across key Australian rail networks including ARTC and Sydney Trains. Skilled in managing safe worksite protection during maintenance, shutdowns, and infrastructure upgrades within metropolitan and regional corridors such as Metro Sydney, Hunter Valley, and Inland Rail. Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage safe working protection using PO2 authorities including Track Occupancy Authority (TOA), Local Possession Authority (LPA), and Absolute Signal Blocking (ASB) under ARTC and Sydney Trains network rules.
• Coordinate directly with Network Control Officers, Signallers, and site personnel to obtain and manage track possessions and ensure safe rail corridor access.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-start briefings, toolbox talks, and Worksite Protection Plan (WPP) inductions to ensure all site personnel understand protection arrangements and hazards.
• Perform dynamic risk assessments and continuously monitor worksite safety, adjusting protection methods as required to maintain compliance and protect personnel.
• Maintain detailed records including protection authorities, WPP documentation, incident reports, and site logs in accordance with network and WHS requirements.
• Apply knowledge from Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety to enhance risk management and site safety culture.
• Operate effectively across multiple project zones including urban Metro Sydney, Hunter Valley mining and freight corridors, and Inland Rail.
