I began as policy officer on short-term contract and shortly after was promoted to the permanent position of Policy Manager, Environment and Sustainability.

Secretariat to Environment and Sustainability Committee. Developed a structure, skills matrix, terms-of-reference and work plan for this new committee.

Consulted with stakeholders to develop a suite of environment and climate change policy.

Coordinated participation in international industry forums providing policy advice and support to Australian representatives.

Organised and facilitated online discussion forums and webinars to enable members to explore blue sky issues such as alternative climate metrics.

Worked with members to secure producer support for the industry’s carbon neutral target and advocated to government for support necessary to achieve it.

Represented industry on a range of government and industry forums and committees including the National Farmers Federation Sustainable Development and Climate Change Committee.
