Mina Morcos

Australian Border Force Officer
Melbourne Airport

Summary

I have a highly demonstrated reputation for my leadership and work ethics and continually receive recognition for exemplary service within the Australian Border Force (ABF). Currently I am posted at Aviation Operations South. I always ensure that I am promoting ABF's vision, mission and business objectives as I strongly believe great staff performance is achieved when a clear understanding is established between our operational tasks and organisational goals. For this reason, I am passionate to lead and manage staff, as it gives me a great sense of pride to see my fellow work colleagues grow and mature into strong leaders and make well-informed decision.

Maintaining professionalism at all times, I am a disciplined officer and a highly effective communicator with persons from a diverse range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. I am accountable and transparent in all the work I do as a Border Force officer. I practice and promote the ABF values and behaviours inside and outside the workplace and work effectively as a member of an agile and deployable team, building and sustaining collaborative relationships with team members and external stakeholders ranging from partner law enforcement agencies to airport representatives.

Remaining up to date with legislative and regulatory powers, I am able to adequately enforce these powers within the legal framework as part of my duties. I am able to undertake research and analysis and interrogate a range of departmental systems competently to positively identify and escalate matters of risks and recommend an effective operational response.

I work well under pressure and thrive off new challenges. I am dependable, reliable and perform each duty to the best of my capabilities, whilst upholding the APS values at all times.
