- The Australian Air League is a not-for-profit volunteer aviation based and uniformed group for youth aged 8 to 17 years old and has been operating in Australia since 1934
- I am currently the Officer Commanding in charge of the Cranbourne Squadron which involves the running of the Squadron, planning activities, guiding the cadets
- I first joined as a cadet at the age of 12 and have worked my way up through the ranks to now running my own Squadron
- Prior to becoming the Officer Commanding, my role was the Squadron Adjutant which I held the position for 18years and my duties included bookwork, paperwork, all finances and discpline
- My Squadron comes together and meets every Wednesday Nights and the cadets participate in a range of activities including Drill, Completing Education syllabus and earning badges to wear on their uniforms, physical activities/ball games, team building, model making, First Aid training and many more
- Throughout the year the Squadron Members undertake a range of extra activities which include airshows, joy flights, camps, ANZAC Day ceremonies, Laser Skirmish, Competition Days, sausage sizzles and much more
- We promote great community citizenship, aviation knowledge, discipline and great fun amongst its cadet and officer
