Duties included designing and re-launching the charity’s monthly digital newsletter for donors; distribution of the newsletter via mailing list software; selecting content to feature and conducting interviews to create articles highlighting achievements or staff profiles showcasing members of the team; coordinating with external stakeholders at events where the charity had a presence; assisting with managing physical donations such as food drives and facilitating delivery to partner charities; researching and
identifying potential partners or projects for the US-based Random Acts to work with in Australia.
Duties included maintaining and improving a large Student Union membership database; selling and renewing memberships as needed; issuing lifetime memberships to legacy members; resolving member issues and general
information enquiries about the Union’s benefits; writing and implementing operating procedures
for the Union customer service hub; training student customer service staff; management of casual
staff including shift supervision, rostering and payroll submission; troubleshooting the year-long
roll out and transition from physical membership cards to a phone app; flagging technical crashes or
requesting database improvements to IT; liaising with other departments and stakeholders to
facilitate correct incorporation of the membership program organisation-wide; planning member
campaigns and events such as O Week with marketing and programming teams; budgeting and
invoicing for events with these teams, monthly reporting of member statistics.
