Summary
After eleven and a half years in the construction industry as a scaffolding leading hand in October 2023 I decided I need a change, a new challenge and made the jump to disability support work and I have enjoyed it ever since. Coming into this job blind I was a bit nervous but with the guidance and help from other supporters the jump was made easy. After a year and four months in the job now I am confident in most facets and keen to learn even more about different abilities and how to help people thrive. After a moral disagreement with my current company I don’t believe their interests are in the right place at the moment and am looking for a fresh start as soon as possible.
