I began walking my grandparents 2 dogs over a year ago and have since started walking 2 other dogs through friends of my mum and grandparents. I do it to help the owners out as sometimes they don't have the time to exercise their pets but I also thoroughly enjoy spending time with dogs and playing with them, building a bond and trusting relationship with owners and animals

Being able to lead my sports day team into victory last year in 2024 being one of the team captains not only made me proud but gave me team work experience, the importance of everyone knowing their role/job in a team so things can run smoothly, the responsibility to your team members intrusting you to know whats best, that every team member is taken care of, keeping my team focused on the goal and being organised.

football season in 2023 and 2024 my step dad was the chairman which gave me the opportunity to help out with the clubs canteen by restocking products when they got low or keeping them filled during lunch rush.

helping in the kitchen on Saturday nights with the meals doing light duties such as, collecting dishes from dinning area, washing dishes, cleaning work areas and proper disposal of waste.

Participating in and being a apart of the Kick Start your future program through the smith family for almost 3 years gave me opportunities to EARN (the respect from fellow peers), LEARN (people skills and how to approach situations I may face in every day life) and GROW (as an individual and become more confident in knowing who I am) Kick start helped bring out my natural leader qualities and then highlighted it and giving me the tools to put what I already had into good use where I could help my fellow peers and the younger children work through situations with positive outcomes.
