With a warm and compassionate approach, I bring a deep sense of care and dedication to my role as a Disability Support Worker. I live by respecting and implementing advice from family members, medical practitioners, and allied health professionals, as they know their loved ones and patients best. My goal is to help individuals live their lives to the fullest potential in whichever capacity I am told. I make it a point to bring positivity and a smile to work every day, without being "over the top"
I handle the challenges of the job with resilience and a positive mindset. On stressful days, whether at work or at home, I use a mental technique to manage my emotions effectively. I imagine placing my stressors in a figurative box, allowing me to set them aside temporarily. By talking it out loud and/or writing it down, I ensure these emotions are securely managed until I'm ready to address them. This technique works for me both professionally and personally.
I offer unwavering support as a shoulder to cry on, laugh with, and assist in every stage of life that clients need. My commitment extends beyond just fulfilling duties; I aim to be a source of empathy and encouragement, supporting individuals through both their challenges and triumphs.
