I am a Registered nurse and midwife with a career spanning 35 years. With university and TAFE qualifications supporting clinical practice I have moved through a variety of specialty areas over this time. With a career that started in aged care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and then moved to wound consultancy/home care. In acute/inpatient settings roles have included time in medical, surgical and oncology wards. After completing a post graduate diploma in midwifery, and then later, a certificate in neonatal intensive care over 20 years was then spent caring for babies and families in a variety of senior, leadership and education roles.
2023 saw a major change when I moved to a remote area, have taken on the role as manager of a Bush Nursing Centre, trained with Ambulance Victoria to be a first responder and now I am looking to the challenge of becoming a nurse practitioner.
