As General Manager of THF Agribusiness I was responsible for running 5 properties in the Central Queensland area with a combined size of 55 000 acres as well as over 1000 acres of Centre Pivot irrigation and trading around 10 000 head of cattle. We had a staff of 3 managers as well as 6 additional staff who were all permanents. I was involved in the day to day management of all properties as well as the buying and selling of livestock and keeping in line with company budgets and financial performance. The company properties and livestock were sold up at the end of 2021 with the parent company doubling their financial investment from under $50 million dollars in 2010 to realising over $100 million in 2021. Since then my family and I have purchased a property north of Jandowae where we run a Brahman stud of nearly 300 breeders and I have been setting it up for the last 20 months. As it is a smaller block the intention was that I would find some outside work for the next 5 years to help consolidate our finances.
