Established a career with Fire and Rescue NSW working on the frontline in fire stations in Western Sydney with a focus on, protecting life and property, reducing risk to the community by engaging in community activities, enhancing response capabilities by training firefighters and building relationships with key stakeholders. I have immersed myself in the role of Leading Firefighter and Acting Station Officer working at various Fire Stations in the Greater Sydney Area. I have established experience in performing the role of Incident Controller, Operations Officer, Sector Commander and Hazmat Commander at numerous fires, rescues and hazardous material incidents.
While managing unfamiliar crews both permanent and retained, participating in the training and development of Fire Fighters and leading by example to instil our Core Values.
During my time at Mt Druitt Fire Station as a Qualified Firefighter I attended a large number of structure fires, worked in a diverse community participating in education programs and operational readiness through pre-incident planning. Gained my Hazmat Technicians qualification and rank of Senior Fire Fighter while working at St Marys Fire Station. During this time I developed my leadership skills, knowledge of Fire and Rescue NSW policies, procedures and legislation.
