  • My role was to call covid positive patients in the community, triage and assess their condition
  • It was important to assess the person holistically and make referrals to ensure the person was safe to remain at home
  • This role challenged me to work autonomously and follow new protocols, flowcharts and models of care that were frequently changing
  • I had to keep up to date with the Department of Health advice to ensure I had the tools to answer questions and give accurate information to patients
  • My role largely relied on computer systems so I had the opportunity to learn how to use programs such as Modica, Microsoft Excel and Covid monitor
