Summary

My name is Ralph Leiataua I'm married with three children. We relocated from NewZealand five years ago. I started my mining career in blast crew.

Due to my leadership qualities I've been able to work my way up to Blast Supervisor and now Drill and Blast Supervisor. I am currently employed at Ozland drilling and Blasting. I have been Drill and Blast supervisor for the last year. We are mining in the Goldfields in Coolgardie at Focus Minerals. With the demands in Gold and Blue rock also comes the pressure to meet required blasting targets and ever so changing deadlines. In this high pressured environment I've been able to lead multiple teams with a high a standard to achieve all drilling and blasting requirements set out by the client. Ensure efficient productivity and actively participate in delivery of the company Policies, Procedures and safe work systems. My strengths are communication, time management, problem solving, adaptability, delegating and team building. I understand what it takes to be a leader and can effectively work with the dynamics of a team drawing out people's strengths. My style of leadership is direct but I promote open communication to create a strong but positive team environment.
