Firstly, I possess a Bachelor of Education (Primary) from the University of Newcastle, as well as my Graduate Diploma of Secondary Education (with a major in modern history and society and culture) from the University of New England. I am currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate of Teaching from the University of Wollongong part time. In addition to these qualifications, I possess a range of other certificates and licences relevant to teaching and teaching-based roles, as well as various continued professional development courses, as detailed on my attached resume.

I have 19 years experience in various teaching roles (in both primary and secondary positions). Throughout these roles, I have developed a passion for teaching and assisting students in learning complex concepts and equipping them with the skills necessary to grow and learn as individuals. I am result driven with the drive to assist others in reaching their goals.

As a result of my experience in the teaching profession, I have developed a range of transferrable skills that I believe would be ideal in supporting this role. I have advanced communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and utilise these skills to achieve positive outcomes. I am confident managing classroom environments with a range of students with diverse and varying needs and pride myself on my ability to be a point of support for students.

I possess logical decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply these appropriately within teaching environments. Further, I am organised with the ability to manage my time and prioritise as necessary and have a high attention to detail. I am computer literate and am confident utilising a range of software and understand the importance of technology in an increasing technological world and workplace. Finally, I am highly committed to workplace safety and recognise the importance of upholding safety standards in teaching environments.

Overall, I believe that I possess the ideal experience, qualifications, training and skillset to undertake any role. I hope to be given the opportunity to showcase my assets as a casual or temporary position.
