During my time working with Ochre Civil i have learnt a lot of valuable skills and I am still learning more everyday, some of these skills are,

•Help with daily prestarts of little machinery (1.7t excavator, skid steer and also a 2.0t tipper). And also servicing when needed.

•Working as a team and also working alone.

•Manual handling, use of some power, hand tools and also heaving lifting with correct form when needed. Some of the tools are

•Angle grinder

•Crow Bar

•Grease Gun

• Company Overview: (Road Infrastructure)
• In January 2022 I began a traineeship with Downer Group working as part of a roads crew. During my employment my duties included; ensuring material quality was maintained by covering stockpiles, labouring and manual handling duties such shovelling material, worksite cleanliness, road maintenance and washing vehicles; other duties included applying reflective pavement markers known as stick and stomps to the road, placement of traffic safety signs on the worksite (under guidance) and guided plant/ trucks using hand signals and 2-way handheld radios. I believe these duties helped me to gain increased experience working as part of a team, displaying initiative and displaying my willingness to complete manual tasks and to work alone.

• During work experience and general laboring duties I assisted in the work of a local plumber. These duties include but were not limited to: Trench work and manual/ hand excavation; removal, replacing and installing of pipework; installation and removal of other plumbing equipment or fittings; using job specific plant to clear blockages. During my time I worked both supervised and unsupervised, which helped me to gain experience in teamwork and to show initiative.
• During August 2022 - August 2024 I have been working with Steve when has needed me.

• In 2020 I undertook work experience with a local Building tradesman B&S Godden Building during this my duties included labouring duties such as work site cleanliness (sweeping, taking waste to the tip and other manual tasks), demolition work (removal of walls etc.), resealing showers, installing skirting boards and other labour-based duties. During my work experience I gained experience in Teamwork, communication and initiative.
