Throughout the last 4 years I have been at calliope, I have excelled in many aspects of hands on work. Some of the more notable reasons would include, working on my property in a team to be able to complete any task set, anything from moving the cattle, to laying retic and installing pumps for irrigation. My skills have also greatly improved due to work experience and hands on subjects at school such as welding, using power tools, using machinery such as lathes and mills, drawing plans and detailed sketches, being able to calculate the cost of jobs based on the time, material and tools. Lastly i have my part-time job at Drakes calliope which has taught me more generalized skills such as showing up to every shift on time, in the right uniform, with all the equipment that i need ready to work.
