Dispensing prescriptions
Accurately labelling, counting, packaging, and measuring medications and suspensions
Maintaining up-to-date patient medication records, including personal details, Medicare, Centerlink, or DVA details.
Preparing and sending Medicare safety-net claims, including reviewing and rectifying rejected prescriptions.
Ensuring that sufficient medication and supplies are available.
Ordering and receiving stock, and ensuring stock rotation.
Maintaining an organised dispensary, including the correct storage of medications and supplies. (S8 medications, fridge lines, and cytotoxic medications)
Ensuring customers receive clinically based pharmacy services, including therapeutic, accurate, and appropriate advice.
Following legal and ethical guidelines for medication dispensing and patient confidentiality.
Supporting the pharmacist on duty to ensure the dispensary is kept to a high standard.
Have experience with NDSS, Fred, Fred Next, Minfos, MIMS, Project Stop, Quantum, Health stream, Med Advisor, Dispense Works, Quda, and P.O.S. Works.
Packing Webster packs (weekly, fortnightly, and monthly)
Update medication charts and profiles to keep an organised record in the filing system.
Manage patient enquiries including, safe use of medications, medication interactions, PRF's, CMI's, Private Insurance or Workers Compensation.
