Surveillance Officer

  • Spent the last Christmas School Holidays (7 weeks) working at Department of Primary Industries and Regional Department in the Queensland Fruit Fly Eradication Response.
  • Worked in a small team deploying Qfly traps throughout the Swan valley on table grape grower properties.
  • Conducted the monitoring and surveillance of these traps and recorded all the data accurately into the electronic recording system.
  • Informed the growers of the results and answered all their questions relating to the response and the quality assurance program.

Compliance Officer

  • Surveillance at the weekend farmers markets. This was the early stage of Qfly eradication program.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quarantine Area Notice (QAN) requirements. This involved talking with the stall operating and ensuring they understood the QAN requirements, as well as providing advice to help them be compliant.
  • Accurate recording of these conversations and recommendations and observations was a critical component of the role.
  • Issuing non-compliance notices and supporting non compliant stall operators to understand why this notice was being issued.

Basketball Career

2024 Selected into the Australian under 18s National Basketball team to play in the FIBA Cup. 

2024 Played NBL 1 West for Perry Lakes, Hawks.

2023 Competed in the NBL1 East League. Attended school in Canberra.

2023 18 months scholarship Centre of Excellence at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra. Returned to Perth after 7 months due to injury. 

2022 Continued travels in America to Atlanta for NBA Global Academy. Which is a selection of elite basketballer nominated by their country to play and train with other from all over the world.

2022 Travelled to the USA to play basketball at multiple nation wide competitions including Run4Roses and Tournament of Champions with other Australian Teammates.

2022 Played NBL 1 West for Perry Lakes, Hawks. 


State Representation:

Selected into the WA State teams to play in the National Competition in

  • 2022 Ballarat representing WA in under 18’s
  • 2021 Darwin representing WA in under 16’s
  • 2020 Perth representing WA in under 16’s
