• Spent the last Christmas School Holidays (7 weeks) working at Department of Primary Industries and Regional Department in the Queensland Fruit Fly Eradication Response.
• Worked in a small team deploying Qfly traps throughout the Swan valley on table grape grower properties.
• Conducted the monitoring and surveillance of these traps and recorded all the data accurately into the electronic recording system.
• Informed the growers of the results and answered all their questions relating to the response and the quality assurance program.

• Surveillance at the weekend farmers markets. This was the early stage of Qfly eradication program.
• Ensure compliance with the Quarantine Area Notice (QAN) requirements. This involved talking with the stall operating and ensuring they understood the QAN requirements, as well as providing advice to help them be compliant.
• Accurate recording of these conversations and recommendations and observations was a critical component of the role.
• Issuing non-compliance notices and supporting non compliant stall operators to understand why this notice was being issued.

• Assisted in the successful harvest of wheat and canola by operating the chaser bin.
• Supported farm operation through effective communication with the supervisor and team members.
• Harvested rock melons, cucumbers and capsicums for sale or storage by picking, grading, packaging and labelling produce.
• Conducted regular inspections for pests and diseases on plants.
• I have experience with driving tractors, quads, motor bikes and farm vehicles. Spent time moving sheep, drenching, backlining, branding and lamb marking sheep, as well as helping with shearing.

• Promoted a safe playing environment by enforcing proper technique usage during practices and games, preventing injuries among athletes.
• Evaluated individual knowledge, skills, and strengths, and assigned team positions to maximize talent areas during the selection process and following training sessions.
