• Deliver specialized care and therapeutic support to women with complex mental health conditions.
• Provide clinical management for both voluntary and involuntary patients in accordance with the Mental Health Act.
  Oversee the care of patients experiencing substance withdrawal, including alcohol, amphetamines, opioids, and cannabis.
  Administer a range of psychiatric medications, including oral, subcutaneous, and intravenous formulations (e.g., benzodiazepine's and antipsychotics).
• Effectively de-escalate agitated or aggressive patients through the use of therapeutic communication and interventions.
  Conduct thorough mental state examinations (MSE) to assess and document patient condition and progress.
  Collaborate with psychiatrists to regularly review and adjust patient treatment plans throughout the course of their admission.
  Actively participate in mental health tribunals, contributing to the decision-making process regarding patient care and legal status.

• Responsible for the assessment and interviewing of potential and eligible donors
• Assessing donor's haemoglobin levels and identifying potential iron deficiencies or anaemia via blood tests
• Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
• Insertion and removal of whole blood and plasma needles
• Monitoring and treating actual and potential DAEs (Donor Adverse Events) such as haematomas, vasovagal reactions, infiltrations and citrate reactions
• Reporting medical incident's as required
• Identifying and disclosing recalls of past donations of a potential transfusion transmissible infected donor by liaising with in-charge staff and Lifeblood doctors

Hotel COVID Positive Residents

• Administration of medication for dependent complex care residents
• Assisted with admissions, transfers and discharge of residents
• Optimal care and support for unaccompanied minors
• Providing regular full patient assessments (monitoring vital signs) to prevent further deterioration of COVID
• Making notes on patient charts using EMR
• Liaising with doctor's on patient care, medications and deterioration using ISBAR

Melbourne Airport Triage

• Responsible for the triage and admission of international passengers entering Australia and allocating each individual to a specific hotel based on their needs, including international travellers seeking refuge from repatriation flights from Afghanistan
• Liaising with the Australian Border Force, Australian Federal Police, Melair and Ambulance Victoria on a deteriorating or unsafe international passenger during triage
• Predetermination, categorization and identification of unaccompanied minors and complex passengers on manifestation lists prior to their arrival into the country
