  • In this time, acted in role of Offender Management Supervisor for 12-month period
  • Prior to Offender Management role, Prison Officer since 2013
  • Mentor and train new staff and existing staff in case management practices, develop and improve processes in line with Offender Management Framework /Correctional Practice Framework
  • Identify and facilitate professional development and training opportunities for staff, participate in a multi-disciplinary team to support and enhance Corrections Victoria Vision statement " Safer Prisons, Safer People, Safer Communities and to perform duties as directed in accordance with the Local Operating Procedures

  • Create monthly and quarterly reports, collecting data, identifying gap areas and provide advise to leadership team on best practice to improve case management and training presentations in areas of need

  • JLTC is a 25-bed facility that is a designed to target intervention and reduce re-offending
  • Prisoners are nearing the end of their sentences and granted permits to access the community on daily basis to pursue their agreed transitional goals
  • Through permit activities and intensive case management, individuals are assisted to develop the knowledge, experience, strengths, supports and relationships to aid effective reintegration into the community
  • JLTC supports education, training, employment, stable accommodation, improving family ties
  • Permit activities are closely monitored, compliance with itineraries is checked daily and subject to breath testing, urine testing and monthly risk assessment process
