Sinead Cook-Pearce

I am currently completing my third year work placement course at HMRI where we are investigating novel treatments for respiratory diseases. My roles include:

• Researching past investigations into respiratory illness and currently accepted treatments.
• Gaining valuable experience working within the biomedical industry, applying learned concepts directly into relevant work and university situations.
• Gaining hands-on experience in various laboratory techniques, increasing understanding of a medical research environment and expanding professional skill set.
• Attending and participating in workshops and presentations related to our project to gain knowledge.
• Supporting staff members in their daily tasks, reducing workload burden and allowing for increased focus on higher-priority assignments.

• Maintained a clean and organized work environment to ensure compliance with health department regulations and company standards.
• Enhanced customer satisfaction by efficiently managing food and beverage orders, ensuring prompt service and accurate delivery.
• Demonstrated adaptability by effectively adjusting to sudden changes in customer volume or staffing levels while maintaining exceptional service quality.
• Addressed customer complaints with professional demeanor and used communication and problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
