During my time within underground mining, most of my experience has been as a breakdown fitter, working across sites from WA, NSW and QLD with employers such as Barminco, sandvik, and NQM Gold. The majority of my equipment exposure has been Sandvik on Sandvik jumbos, longholes, Cable bolters, loaders and trucks. Ancillary equipment such as Normet shotcreters, charge trucks, Volvo IT's, as well as limited exposure to CAT loaders, Graders and atlas trucks. Some of my duties included:

• Performed maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems and other components.
• Diagnosed faults using computerised diagnostic equipment and manual testing methods.
• Conducted routine servicing of vehicles such as oil changes, lubrication and filter replacements.
• Repaired worn or damaged parts by welding or machining operations.
• Installed new parts to replace worn or damaged components.
• Fabricated parts from raw material when required for specific applications.
• Maintained accurate records of all repair work completed in the workshop database system.
• Filled in as leading hand and taken part in training of apprentices.
