- My duties also include the management of the Ravensthorpe Airport to CASA standards and the control and movement of aircraft within the airport complex including the training of airport ground crews for luggage handling, air craft landing and take off, passenger check in for regular passenger flights.
- Further to this I was responsible for conducting all duties of the ARO and WSO.
- I was likewise responsible for 2 large camping areas in the shire with an approximate tourist population of 25,000 per annum.
- Part of my other duties included being the Shire’s Safety Coordinator.
- As part of my duties I was required to develop the Shire’s OSH Policies and Procedures and maintain them along with arranging for the the election of Safety Representatives and to coordinate with the Local Government Insurance Scheme the introduction of Safety measures as required by that organization.
