Summary

Hi, I am Steven Brown. I am currently the service technician for Schindler in the Northern NSW/South Gold Coast area. In my current role I have gain experience with the unique challenges of maintaining lifts in an regional area. My current run consists of of mostly Schindler units further strengthening the foundation of my skills.

My experience of working for as a service technician for Orbitz elevators from August 2020 to March 2021 has granted me further experience with a wide variety of lesser known brands as well as the range of big OEMs.

Before transitioning from Sydney to Gold Coast in 2020 I had been working for Schindler Lifts as service technician in Sydney which followed the completion of my Schindler apprenticeship on Jan/19 .

My journey through Schindler's apprenticeship program took me through all aspects of the industry and now with 8 years industry experience I have become very confident in my position.

My current role sees me carrying out scheduled maintenance, attending callbacks, being on standby after hours for call-outs, maintaining a effective local supply of spare parts, organising and carrying out repairs.

I am the sort of person who gains satisfaction from putting work in and fixing something right. I try to keep my run neat and tidy, I enjoy helping others and lending a hand wherever one is needed. I enjoy giving customers good news and hearing from them that their equipment is running well.
