- Worked a 24/7 12hr shifts driving the complete Alice Springs generation network, communication and approval of maintenance / installation work and frequent communication and decision making with PowerWater staff and management to ensure a safe stable network.
- Created paperwork for and implementation of Permit to Work system. The first 6 months was on the job training both maintenance and operators to achieve relatively cohesive and safe permit system.
- Managed 3 system blacks and returned network back safely within expected time frames.
- Successfully trained 3 Senior Operators to be able to fill the Senior Generation Controller positions.
- The Network and Generation systems are controlled by almost exclusively HDMI / SCADA Systems. A few manual controls are retained for Black System control. This means the Senior Generation controller spends most of shift monitoring and adjusting the system.
