Summary

Since May 2022 I have been employed as Teacher's Aide at St Joseph's College Banora Point. During that time, working with student with median to high learning needs from Yrs 7-12. This role offers individual support to students of different learning levels and backgrounds. Always ready to step in and positively impact student learning or teacher wellbeing with timely support.

Prior to that I was working at Tweed River High School, Tweed Heads in the Distance Education/Behaviour Learning Support Unit.

The role was assisting the school and teachers with;

-students transitioning back into school having been absent for

lengthy periods

-student enrolling from other school,

-students with high levels of anxiety and emotional needs,

-Students returning from suspension

-students using the room for approved 'time out'

- assisting students with resume preparation and job opportunities

-student within the School Of Distance Eduction - Southern Cross Campus, Ballina.

I am qualified to comment on New South Wales Development Applications having successfully completed the NSW Police Safer by Design Course (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) In this, I have reported on a number of NSW Development applications from small car wash facilities to large residential housing estates.

From February 1986 to May 2016. I was employed by the New South Wales Police Force and retired at Tweed Heads Police Station as a Sergeant of Police having work at a variety or locations across the state from Kings Cross to Collarenebri and at a single unit station at Nundle and then transferring to Tweed Heads.

  • For 30 years I was employed by NSW Police Department working at various locations across the state of NSW.
  • Since arriving at Tweed Heads in 2000, my role was that of Crime Prevention Officer – that role required me to attend community meeting liasing with Council and staff from Queensland Police and be the contact of Tweed/Byron Police. I attended high schools, primary schools and pre-schools when they required a police visit, explaining in easy to understand terms, the role of police.
  • Promoted in 2007 to Sergeant Crime Coordinator, In this role I was the team leader supervising 10 police and civilian staff. Each morning I ran a briefing meeting which covered events of the previous 24hrs and planned strategies to be implemented to address local crime issues.
