Summary

I bring over 15 years of being employed in a variety of sectors. I am currently employed with MatchWorks as a Disability Employment Consultant. In this role I deal with a range of clients and backgrounds. Each of the clients have a barrier which determined their legibility to be part of the program. Clients are either referred by Services Australia or selected MatchWorks themselves to be their employment provider.

In this role I work with the individual to help encourage them into or back into the workforce, creating resumes, mock interviews and engage with community organizations to increase the individual's abilities or to enhance the current skills.

Disability Employment Consultant

* Dealing with clients whom are on a Disability Support Pension or Job Seeker Payment who have either been directly referred by Services Australia or, client has requested MatchWorks as their employment provider.

* Assisting clients in resume creation, interview practice, linking in with allied health professionals and this includes assisting to seek NDIS supports.

* Exposure to a wide range of disabilities and barriers that an individual is facing: ranging from the physical barriers such as a back injury to the hidden barriers such as mental health.

* Run workshops and engage local community organizations to help our participants increase social interactions with others, to increase their skillsets and to feel more involved in the process in seeking suitable and sustainable employment.

* Guiding clients on how to showcase their abilities, strengths though mock interviews and having opportunities to meet with employers.

Senior Customer Service Officer

* I worked predominately as a Senior Customer Service Officer. However, I also had some secondments in other departments such as the People and Culture department and Registration Services.

* I dealt with inquiries relating to registration and licencing. This included registered vehicles, transferring of registrations, ordering and assigning number plates to the correct vehicles, determining legibility entitlements based on deceased estates and examining overseas licences for authenticity.

* I trained new staff in the computer systems, would ensure they were aware of the compliance when accessing records and how to navigate the programs.

* I would provide assistance to clients who required supervision whilst undertaking computer tests by reading the questions with them.

* Dealt with the Indonesian Consulate and their members to changeover their licences.

* Examined vehicles to check engine number changes and or clear defects.

* Office OH&S and Fire Warden duties.

* Reviewed evidence to determine liability of claims.

* Frequent liaison with all parties (injured workers, employers and medical providers). At times investigation organizations were involved as well.

* Calculating pre-injury average weekly earnings to ensure claimants were to receiving payments at the correct rate.

* Training new staff in the software programs

* Exposure to some claims that were ongoing beyond 104 weeks.

* Assisting to prepare documents if a conciliation meeting was required.

* Writing acceptance and rejection letters to clients.
