Skills

During my time spent working from place to place, environment to environment and experiencing various rules and regulations I’ve been able to acquire and built up many useful skills I have become an individual who is capable of adapting and fitting into new roles and uncharted workplaces and I also find myself being very efficient and quick at learning unfamiliar jobs and tasks

I had the opportunity to lead teams of 6 to 8 members while keeping productions running smoothly, which allowed me to improve my communication and team-leading skills

At one point I was recommended, nominated and appointed as a Health and Safety Representative (HRS) The HRS position gave me the chance to be the voice of two teams on two separate operating floors which altogether had 10 to 13 members My role as an HRS was to constantly observe and point out any hazards, risks, or unsafe work habits, I then notify them with better and safer solution towards approaching each task The HRS members have meetings once every month and these meetings included all the site supervisors and managers which gave me the chance to have a better insight of the Australian Safety Standards I learnt a skill that enables me to identifying hazards and risks, and honestly when it comes to safety I believe I am more than capable

I have experienced various work sights and environments that have exclusion zones and fenced off areas that is considered highly dangerous where safety locks and isolation procedures are strictly required These job sites also have production targets which puts pressure on the workers, and so when there is a breakdown near my workstation I am required to quickly and efficiently resolve the issue at hand which over time built me up to be a quick thinker

I have worked with kids from ages 12 to 18 as a youth leader, i prepared and organised activities, food, beverages and finally plan out the sessions along with 11 other outstanding youth leaders We started with around about 18 to 19 kids and we grew to over 150 kids I will not shy away from the fact that i am a Christian I’ve come to understand and recognised the value of accountability and reconciliations I have leant to observe people to better understand an individuals way of thinking and what they like and dislike so that I may be able to help resolve any conflict that may be stirring up

To cut it short some of my others skills include:

  • Team building skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • understanding environments and peoples skills (psychosocial session with work safe employees)
