In my role i have had various responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of cooking programs tailored for students with learning disabilities and diverse needs.
- Conducting supervised cooking lessons that adhere to Australian education standards, food safety regulations, and OHS/WHs requirements.
- Assist to create practical cooking activities that align with specific learning topics and cater to the varying capabilities of students.
- Designing and adapting small theory-based assignments to complement hands-on learning and support curriculum outcomes.
- Teaching students how to safely operate both commercial and domestic kitchen equipment, including the barista machines.
- Ensure that students understand and follow safe food handling, hygiene, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Modifying existing programs to include dietary restrictions and learning needs.
- Providing individual and small-group support to enhance student engagement, independence, and successful participation in lessons.
- Collaborating with teachers and other ESO's to ensure that learning activities are accessible and tailored to meet the requirements of learning needs for students.
- Helping students develop practical life skills, confidence, and independence through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
Economics Teaching Support

Working in co-operation with the teacher, I modified existing Year 9 Economics lessons to better align with individual student learning needs. My contributions included:
- Supporting the delivery of Economics lessons under the guidance of a supervising teacher.
